TWO PLEADS ON A STREET

Two pleads on a street

"Honk, honk, honk….
The light is so stubborn?
Go on, change!
It wont listen to my pleads.”

The driver is an errant one.
Reckless, Rash and Rascal
Spits out a concoction of beetle leaf, nut and rind
Falls on the eaten toes of a child.

The child comes over
Not to the driver but to me
Taps my knee and pleads
With eaten fingers of his palm

“Sir, sir, sir....
The man is so stubborn?
Go on, change!
It wont listen to my pleads.”
